Expectations for Success

1. We are self-confident learners. We set goals, monitor our progress, and strategically work to achieve our goals.

2. We value challenges and obstacles as opportunities to learn and grow.

3. We communicate. We share thoughts, questions, ideas, and solutions.

4. We collaborate. We work together to reach a goal – putting talent, expertise, and smarts to work.

5. We are critical thinkers. We look at problems in new ways, linking learning across subjects and disciplines.

6. We are creative. We show innovation and invention by trying new approaches to get things done.

7. We use technology as a tool to research, organize, evaluate, and communicate information.

8. We are mindfully aware. We are aware of our thoughts and actions and their impact personally, locally, and globally.

9. We value empathy and optimism.

10. We express gratitude.

Principal's Weekly Message

Dear Tidalwave Families:

I hope you all had a nice weekend and are gearing up for the holiday season. Please note that we are still on minimum day schedule this week on Monday and Tuesday as our teachers finish parent-teacher conferences. I want to thank the entire community for coming together to give this holiday season in so many ways. Thank you to our families who donate time, dollars, effort, ideas, etc. all year long and thank you to our families that donated Project Unified. Your generosity and selflessness does not go unnoticed.

I also wanted to take a minute and wish you all a great holiday season and a restful two weeks away from school. Please remember that school will be on winter break from December 18th through January 1st.

I hope to see many of your at our Science Fair this Wednesday evening as we showcase our students' scientific minds. An early thank you to Diana Nelson and PTA for organizing and supporting our Science Fair!

Please make sure you check lost and found before we go on break this week. All items left will be donated to charity.

Thank you for reading this message thoroughly so you don’t miss any pertinent updates! You can always find my newsletter and any updates on our Tulita website at: http://tulita.rbusd.org/. If you know of others who are not receiving these newsletters, please encourage them to check their junk/spam folder!

Happy holidays and we'll see you back on Tuesday, January 2nd!
